Summer Immersion in Portugal

We often seek ways to step away from the routines and speed of everyday life, and journey toward new horizons. This summer immersion is your invitation to slow down and embark on an inward journey. We’ll gather in sunny south coastal Portugal for six days and together we’ll dive into deep practice to explore the inner landscape of you: your body, mind, heart, and soul.

OUR PRACTICE
Our week together is intentionally designed to be both educational and exploratory. Drawing on a variety aspects of the yoga tradition for the modern practitioner, daily practice will include:
A variety of movement and yoga practice to awaken and shift perspective
Breathwork techniques and meditation to calm the focus the mind
Philosophy/dharma talks, and engaging group discussions to ground the teachings in practical experience.
This immersion is for anyone feeling called to explore yourself, explore a new place, and connect with like-minded souls.
Sample Schedule
Early morning: Coffee, tea, light bites available
Morning: Meditation and Yoga
Mid/Late morning: Hearty farm-to-table breakfast.
Afternoon: Free time to relax, explore, and occasional afternoon workshop gathering, or excursions. Light lunch will be available daily.
Late afternoon: Yoga, breath, or workshop-style gathering
Evening: Delicious group dinner followed by unstructured evenings.

OUR REST AND EXPLORATION
There will be plentiful opportunities to rest, relax, and explore the rustic, majestic beaches a 10-minute drive away, as well as the freshwater pond, sauna, and beautiful, quiet, southern Portugal. On a couple of the days, we will arrange optional group excursions like beach or boat trips.

OUR COMMUNITY
This immersion is for anyone with an interest in self exploration, rest and renewal, and who is curious about the teachings and practices of yoga. All experience (or no previous experience) with yoga are welcome. Connect with other kind, like-minded people through practice, shared delicious meals, meaningful conversation, and laughter. Many long friendships begin in these retreats.

OUR PLACE
We’ll gather at Cocoon Portugal. Cocoon Portugal is a 275 acre coastal farm and retreat which offers inspiration and community for the modern traveller. Cocoon offers simple, comfortable elegance in a variety of room styles. It’s a place you’ll feel at home from the moment you arrive. You’ll also find a freshwater lake, sauna, as well as plentiful space to hike and explore. Located ten minutes from some of Portugal's most beautiful coastal bluffs and beaches, you’ll get the best of cool nights and warm summer days.

OUR FOOD
We’ll share three daily meals made by an excellent local team of chefs from seasonal ingredients sourced from the property and nearby farms. Mornings begin with coffee, tea and fresh fruit. Dietary restrictions including gluten-free and vegan are warmly accommodated.

Lindsay is a certified yoga and Pilates instructor with over a decade of experience helping people move with strength, intention, and ease. A former Broadway dancer, she blends her deep movement background with training in yoga, Pilates, and functional strength to create sessions that are personalized, empowering, and deeply restorative.
At the retreat, Lindsay offers dynamic, hybrid classes designed to meet you where you are—helping you reconnect with your body, breathe deeply, and move toward your healthiest self.

Andrew Blotky is a New York-based yoga teacher (RYT-500, E-RYT-200), writer, and communications executive.
Andrew teaches precision-based Vinyasa flow yoga and yoga in the devotional bhakti tradition. His yoga journey began at age 17 with his first yoga class, and has since been a part of yoga and mediation communities globally. With over 25 years of studentship and 10 years of teaching, Andrew offers classes with intelligently-designed, alignment-based sequences, inspiration and yoga philosophy for the modern practitioner, combined with a blend of music, good humor, and a down-to-earth style.

A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your space. The remaining balance is due in two installments.
Refund Policy
All payments become non-refundable after March 1, 2027. Please review full terms in the booking form. Additional payment information will be provided once your reservation is confirmed. Multiple payment options are available at checkout.
What’s Included
Your retreat fee includes accommodations, all movement and meditation sessions, three nourishing meals daily, full property access.
What’s not included:
Flights and transportation to and from Cocoon; additional activities outside of the retreat program; travel insurance; gratuity for the Cocoon staff.
Getting There
Cocoon Portugal is easily reached from both Lisbon and Faro airports — approximately two hours from either. Because of the retreat’s location, we recommend renting a car for the week. We will help coordinate carpooling options once you've confirmed your booking. Detailed arrival information will be shared closer to your departure date.
Visa & Passport Requirements
Visitors need a valid passport (valid 3+ months past departure, 2 blank pages). For short tourist stays (under 90 days) there is no visa required.
Travel Insurance (Recommended)
We strongly recommend purchasing travel and health insurance to protect your investment in case of unexpected personal circumstances, natural disasters, illness, or other unforeseen events. Groundwell and retreat leaders are not responsible for travel changes, cancellations, or health issues.
